Beeswax Wraps - Cheese Collection 3 pack
Every year in the UK, more than 1.2 billion meters of plastic cling-film is used - that's enough to wrap around the world 30 times over!
Wax wraps are the perfect way to ditch the cling film and reduce your plastic waste.
Apart from that, they look amazing too!
You can wrap sandwiches, veg, fruit, snacks etc, or cover a plate or bowl of food or leftovers. Place your hands on the wrap and the warmth of your hands will help mould the shape and it will stick, forming a water-repellent seal.
BeeBee Wraps are made in the UK, not far from Vida Eco Shop.
They use British Beeswax, GOTS certified organic cotton, organic jojoba oil and responsibly sourced tree resin. They have thought of every step in the supply chain to ensure they keep their impact to an absolute minimum.
The Cheese Collection: Three medium wraps - 26 x 26 cm
Original Design: Wheat, Sardines and Tulip or
Ocean collection: Puffins, Whales and Sardines
Beeswax wraps have a breathable quality which makes them ideal for storing cheese and keeping it fresher for longer. This means no more wet, sweaty cheese wrapped in plastic in your fridge and less food waste! With the Cheese Collection, not only do the Wraps keep your cheese fresh for days and weeks on end, but with three different designs, you can easily identify which of your favourite cheese each design is keeping fresh!
BeeBee wraps support Ufulu, a charity fighting period poverty in Malawi. They provide soap and menstrual cups to women who would otherwise be using unhygienic rags.
Girls from lower income families rarely have the money to purchase sanitary products and are more likely to miss school when they have their periods – and so the cycle of period poverty is perpetuated. Ufulu has given out over 400 cups already and are committed to ensuring that every female in the area who would like a cup, will receive one. Ufulu is determined to ensure that every girl on the island should be able to attend school, at all times, so that her education will not suffer further from period poverty.
They also run workshops to teach them to use the cups properly and to care for them. BeeBee support them by providing wax wraps to protect the soap the charity provides along with each cup.
